The market was pretty flat all day. Financials and techs took a breather, while commodity-related sectors bounced. Metals, energy, oil, and agriculture were all strong today. The market gapped up today, but, quickly dove into the red. Bush, in a “symbolic move”, lifted the ban on offshore drilling. This prompted the oil services sector to jump. The overall market was very weak in the morning. Then, after lunch, things started to bounce. AAPL and RIMM led the techs. AAPL added +4.32% while RIMM garnered +5.45%.
