The market has been struggling to push higher, and yet, it has been gliding up. Today, the Dow finally managed to close above 13,000. No big deal, right? Perhaps not. There were big winners, as well as big losers today. APOL was down more than 16% after giving weak Q1 guidance. ESI also got knocked down 5.42%. APKT fell 4.66% while FFIV slipped 1%. LNKD lost 2.56%.
On the upside, AAPL continued to make new highs, hitting a new all-time high of $535.41. SINA jumped +11.26% even though its earnings was not all that impressive last night. Nevertheless, the company said that its Weibo site (the Chinese site comparable to Twitter) may start to add to its revenue. YOKU (the "Netflix of China") popped +10.25%, as it extended partnership with m1905.com, a leading online movie site wholly owned by China Central Television‘s CCTV-6. Yesterday, we locked a +207% profit on VVUS March 21 calls. We had a target of $25 and VVUS hit a high of $25.14 yesterday. VVUS was down more than 10% Today! This morning, we did a quick trade on AMZN weekly 180 calls for an intraday +19% gain:
