The Dow rose +145.27 points; SPX added +16.95 points; and the Nasdaq gained +31.5 points! WOOHOO!!! Yesterday, I said, “I think if/when SPX and Nasdaq both rise above their 10-day MAs, we’ll see more buyers coming in!” And, they are coming out from everywhere!

The market was volatile, as some investors took profits mid-day. But, the market ended up with big wins all around!

Again, the market was bascially flat today, with a little more positive momentum than yesterday. SPX was up more than +10 points at one point. Nasdaq went as high as 2529.66! Many stocks had great performances today, and, we were there to capture very good profits!

The major indices were pretty flat today. SPX was off less than half-a-point. Nasdaq gained +3.56 points, while the Dow garnered +42.27 points.

What a great day with RIMM and BIDU!!
We rolled out of Sept 220 calls at $240% and got into Sept 240 calls. And, just half a day, we are at over +50% gain on those 240s!! BIDU jumped also. Cashed some out at as high as +44%!!

The Fed came to the financial markets’ rescue today. It lowered “discount rate” (the rate at which the Fed loans money to banks) by 0.5% to 5.75%. It left the benchmark federal fund rate alone, for now, at 5.25%; and, signaled its willingness to do more to cushion the economy.
