I’ve started buying further out options and holding them longer, as the market begins to come out of the July correction. But, I’m still taking partial profits to keep cash.
Something happened today on my member site that I think it’s valuable to share with other readers. Here are some comments that I made:

ATTENTION******
I’m seeing some people buying far out of money options on stocks that can have big potential moves. Please understand the risk that you’re taking. Do not get into a trade if it’s too expensive for your profolio. Don’t get into a trade just to trade, or find a far OTM strike so you can be in the same stock. Start learning to know your plan before you make a trade. Pick the ones that are right for your profolio size. If you have some patience, some of these longer-term trades can still make people a lot of money.

“The Secret”
If you’re looking at potential trade, and, it doesn’t make you feel comfortable, chances are, this trade might not be right for you. Trade the trades that make you feel good; make you feel “centered”. If you get into risky trades, or too many trades, and you start to get nervous, you’re not listening to your higher self. I find that I trade the best when I’m relaxed and happy. Thus, my pen-name, “HappyTrading!”. What goes on inside of you often materializes on the outside; what happens on the outside often is a reflection of what’s happening inside. I’d highly recommend the book/video, “The Secret”!

Re: ATTENTION and The Secret….can we get an “amen”!!!
As I’ve started to split my time between this site and another well known, similar looking site that shall remain nameless, I’ve found that you are offering up some incredible lessons and trade recos. I’ve also learned that I have to ask myself the basic question - why are you entering this trade - with much more discipline.
When I’ve answered that question to my personal satisfaction before entering the trade (and “because Happy says so” doesn’t count as an answer), then I push the button. Sometimes that means I’m in 0.20 above you and sometimes 0.20 below…either way, I’m at peace with the trade. I can look at it objectively and know my likely next action points so I’m not watching every darn tick thinking “ok…what do I do now”. I also get through the day without letting my money have emotion. Obviously, new data requires new strategy but, for the most part, I’m getting comfortable with the peacefulness and profitability have having a plan. When I know why I’m in, and where I’ll be out, I trade better, I get better numbers and I just plain feel better during the day.
Not something that we’ve talked about here a lot but the pace of this board demands, at least for me, the centeredness that Happy mentioned earlier.

Hey Happy,
I’d like to thank you for another great day and week! Your word of wisdom is invaluable.
I also want to thank everyone who has provided some trading ideas. I don’t want to name the people because I may forget someone, but everyone here are great!
I like your site not only for the education and picks, but also for the “spiritual” or inner education which is just as important.
Have a great Labor Day weekend all.
Cheers.
Thank you everyone!! I love this trading community!
It’s a long weekend. So, rest up and have a lot of fun! I’ll be back this weekend with my weekly forecast, and, we’ll go over what happened on the market this week.
Happy Labor Day Weekend!
